Apple Reportedly Working on Wearables Including Smart Ring and Smart Glasses

Apple is reportedly exploring new wearable products for the future, including potential major updates to its AirPods. Mark Gurman’s recent Power On newsletter suggests that Apple may be considering various forms of wearables, such as smart glasses akin to Amazon Echo Frames, which offer smart audio and AI capabilities, possibly incorporating augmented reality features similar to the Vision Pro.

Additionally, there’s speculation about the development of a smart ring embedded with health-related sensors, presenting an alternative for users who aren’t keen on wearing traditional smartwatches like the Apple Watch. These concepts are currently in early stages of consideration and development.

Moreover, Gurman hints at a potential revamp of the AirPods lineup, indicating the integration of a camera into the earbuds. Internally referred to as project B798, this endeavor aims to equip AirPods with low-resolution camera sensors, likely intended to enable features leveraging artificial intelligence and health monitoring functionalities.
