As per weather update provided by Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), strong winds and rain with thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday (February 29 and March 1) are expected across Sindh, including Karachi.
Karachi will experience rain throughout the day and into the late night on Friday, March 1, according to Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz. Temperatures in the city are expected to decrease over the following three to four days starting from March 1.
Earlier this week, Karachi encountered strong winds at 40km per hour. These Siberian winds caused temperatures to drop to 16 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has also forecast heavy rain across most parts of the country in the next two days, with some areas likely to experience hailstorms.
In Balochistan, heavy rain has already been reported, leading to flooding in many parts of the coastal city of Gwadar.
