Realme is gearing up to unveil its Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G smartphones in India on March 6th. Ahead of this highly anticipated launch, the company has teased a unique feature for the Realme 12 5G model – the “Dynamic Button,” offering customizable functionality.
Though the specifics of this button are yet to be fully revealed, teasers suggest it could serve as the phone’s power button, with programmable options for quick actions. The teaser image hints at controlling functions like the camera shutter, flashlight, silent mode, airplane mode, and do-not-disturb settings.
This concept of a Dynamic Button draws comparisons to Apple’s Action Button, currently exclusive to higher-end iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. Realme’s adoption of a similar feature could democratize such functionality across more affordable smartphone segments.
Realme has a track record of incorporating design cues and features reminiscent of Apple iPhones. For instance, the budget-friendly Narzo N53 mimics iPhone camera module design, while the Realme C53 introduces the “Mini Capsule” feature, visually resembling Apple’s Dynamic Island.
The smartphone has previously appeared on the Geekbench database, revealing it’s equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SOC paired with 8GB of RAM. The vanilla version also boasts a 5,000mAh battery and features a 108-megapixel primary sensor on the back.
While details about the Realme 12 5G remain limited, both it and the Realme 12+ 5G have been available for pre-order since February 29th. Interested buyers can secure their spot in line through the official Realme website. As the March 6th launch date nears, Realme is expected to unveil more information about the Realme 12 5G and its intriguing Dynamic Button feature.
