Sindh to Promote Students Without Exams

The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department (SELD) have approved the schedule for the academic year 2024-25. Furthermore, it announced that students in grades I-III will be promoted without exams this year, while exams for grades IV to VIII will take place after Eid-ul-Fitr.

Examinations for classes 4 to 8 are scheduled from April 15 to April 27, with board exams for classes 9 and 10 set for May. The new academic year, 2024-25, will commence on August 1, 2024, instead of April 1, 2024, according to the department’s notification.

Furthermore, the summer vacations for the academic session 2024-25 will run from June 1, 2024, to July 31, 2024, while the winter vacations are scheduled from December 21, 2024, to December 31, 2024.

Moreover, Ramadan is expected to start from March 11 or 12, which means that school timings will also be affected, and a notification will be issued by the department. Like every year, it is expected that school timings will be slightly shortened during Ramadan.
