In response to the challenging weather conditions prevailing across the UAE, Dubai’s municipality has taken proactive measures by announcing the closure of all beaches, public parks, and markets in the emirate in order to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and visitors alike.
Effective from Friday night, beaches in Dubai has closed to the public, while the closure of public parks and markets will commence from Saturday onwards. The closures have been announced because of unstable weather conditions and heavy rains predicted throughout the weekend.
Echoing Dubai’s initiative, authorities in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah have also announced the temporary closure of parks and beaches within their respective emirates. Through this precautionary measure, it is evident that local authorities are concerned with the safety of the public due to the bad weather condition this weekend.
