Apple’s iPad lineup is set for upgrades, with rumors swirling around potential changes. One speculation involves the introduction of an OLED iPad Pro and a revamped iPad Air. A recent rumor from a reliable source suggests that both the upcoming iPad Air and iPad Pro will sport a landscape front-facing camera.
Presently, both the iPad Air and iPad Pro feature front-facing cameras positioned at the top, resulting in an off-center view during landscape FaceTime calls. Apple began addressing this issue with the 10th-generation iPad but hasn’t made further improvements since. However, hints found within iOS 17.4 suggest that the iPad Pro will adopt a landscape camera orientation, and the same is expected for the redesigned iPad Air, rumored to come in 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch sizes.
Concerns arise about the logistics of this shift, particularly regarding the current magnetic attachment of the Apple Pencil for charging, which might clash with a side-mounted camera. Nonetheless, rumors also suggest a new Apple Pencil release alongside the updated iPads, hinting at a potential design solution.
These updates, if they materialize, would signify a broader design overhaul in Apple’s tablet range, aiming to enhance user experience. The redesigned iPad Air and the anticipated OLED iPad Pro models are speculated to debut soon, possibly within the upcoming month.
