Islamabad United’s player, Naseem Shah, has been fined 10% of his match fee for breach of PSL’s Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel during PSL 9’s match between Multan Sultans and Islamabad United at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday
According to the details, Naseem got in trouble because he kicked the stumps after the game with Multan Sultans. This is a violation of Article 2.2 that deals with abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures, and fittings.
Naseem pleaded guilty and agreed to the punishment given by the referee, so there wasn’t a big formal meeting about it. The referees who were in charge during the match, Ruchira Palliyaguruge and Muhammad Asif, made the decision.
In the same game, the Multan Sultans also got into trouble, and a penalty was imposed on the team. They were fined because they were slow during the game. The referee, Roshan Mahanama, noticed they were behind on time according to the rules. Each player on their team had to pay a 10% fine from their match fee because of this.
