Xiaomi unveiled its inaugural electric vehicle, the SU7, last December, revealing its features and specifications without disclosing pricing or sales details. However, the wait seems to be ending soon.
Today, Xiaomi announced the official launch of the Xiaomi SU7 in China on March 28, with interested buyers getting the chance to experience it starting March 25. Reservations have already begun in China, with 59 stores in 29 cities participating.
The SU7, available in regular and Max versions, is a C-segment coupe with a sporty design. The Max variant boasts a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 2.78 seconds and reaching a top speed of 265 km/h. The regular version features a single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup with a 0-100 km/h time of 5.28 seconds.
Equipped with Xiaomi’s “Smart Cockpit” powered by a Snapdragon 8295 chip, the SU7 includes a 16.1-inch 3K resolution primary screen supporting CarPlay and AirPlay. The interior showcases sporty Nappa leather seats, ambient lighting, and a spacious glass roof. Audio is enhanced by a 25-speaker sound system with Dolby Atmos support.
With HyperOS support, the SU7 seamlessly integrates with Xiaomi Home IoT devices, promising a connected driving experience.
