Infinix unveiled its latest lineup, the Note 40 series, consisting of four smartphones: the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro in both 4G and 5G variants. While the 4G models offer solid features, the 5G versions come with more premium specifications.
The Note 40 Pro 5G and Pro+ 5G share many similarities. They boast a 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 1,300 nits peak brightness, and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones integrate an in-screen fingerprint scanner for secure unlocking and employ Corning Gorilla Glass for durability.
Design-wise, the Pro 5G and Pro+ 5G feature a sleek, slim profile with a rectangular camera module on the rear housing a triple camera setup. The ‘Active Halo’ AI lighting system adds a touch of elegance, changing patterns for incoming calls and notifications. Moreover, the phones are equipped with stereo speakers tuned by JBL for immersive audio experiences.
In terms of photography, both devices boast a powerful 108MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), accompanied by a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. They offer the capability to record high-quality 2K videos and feature a 32MP front camera for capturing stunning selfies.
Under the hood, the Note 40 Pro 5G and Pro+ 5G are powered by a Dimensity 7020 processor, ensuring smooth performance. The Pro 5G comes with 8GB of RAM, while the Pro+ 5G offers a generous 12GB. Both models offer ample storage with 256GB internal memory, expandable via a microSD card slot. Additionally, they feature Infinix’s self-developed Cheetah X1 chipset for enhanced efficiency.
The Pro+ 5G boasts a robust 4,600mAh battery with support for blazing-fast 100W charging, ensuring quick power-ups. On the other hand, the Pro 5G houses a larger 5,000mAh battery but supports a slightly slower 45W charging speed. Both phones support convenient 20W wireless charging.
The Note 40 Pro+ starts at $309, while the Note 40 Pro 5G begins at $289, offering great value for their premium features. These smartphones will be available globally from March 19 onwards, offered in elegant Vintage Green, Obsidian Black, and Titan Gold color options.
