The Sindh Cabinet has announced to launch the Kisan Card for farmers to fulfil the promise made by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari during the party’s election campaign. According to the details, the announcement was made following a cabinet meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah.

As per the Chief Minister, the Kisan Card will be issued to farmers benefiting from various Sindh government programmes. Furthermore, the program aims to organize recipient information to ensure clear and effective delivery of these interventions.
In order to streamline the process, the Sindh government will launch a digital platform and provide user logins to all district administrations to enter the details of farmers in their jurisdiction. The digitalization will help to ensure proper allocation of schemes to the right farmers and make it easy to broadcast messages.
