In January, leaked images by tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer gave us a peek at Google’s upcoming Pixel 9 and 9 Pro smartphones. Now, there’s an update stating that these models will be called Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL, bringing back the XL label last seen on the Pixel 4. This brings another question of whether will be a standard Pixel 9. Based on Leaked images, there will be a standard variant as well.
The leaked renders of the Pixel 9 show a design akin to the Pro models: compact, boxy, with a flat frame and curved corners. The power and volume buttons sit on the right side, while the back features a large, pill-shaped camera module that doesn’t extend to the corners like previous models.
The Google Pixel 9’s display, with a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout, is surrounded by symmetrical bezels. The main difference from the Pro models is a slightly smaller 6.03-inch screen. Additionally, the standard model will sport a dual-camera setup and lack a periscope lens found in the Pro versions.
According to Onleaks, the Pixel 9’s dimensions measure 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm, expanding to 12mm with the rear camera bump.
