Honda Cars India has made some changes to the Honda City Hybrid line-up by increasing the price and discontinuing the V variant. The Honda City Hybrid is now only available in the top-spec ‘ZX’ variant after the new change.
Launched in May 2022, Honda City Hybrid was offered in two variants, the base V variant and the top-tier ZX trim. However, the company has made the decision to discontinue the base variant of the vehicle and increase the price of their top-tier City Hybrid ZX variant.
Honda City Hybrid Price in India
The new price of the Honda City Hybrid ZX in India is Rs. 20.55 lakh (ex-showroom) for the solid color, while the metallic version is available for Rs. 21.35 lakh (ex-showroom). This indicates a price hike of Rs. 16,100 and Rs. 88,100 for both options, respectively.

Powertrain
The Honda City e:HEV comes with a Atkinson Cycle 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors, with one acting as a generator and the other driving the vehicle. Furthermore, in start/stop driving conditions, the vehicle operates in electric-only mode and provides 126 bhp and 253 Nm of torque.
According to Honda, the City Hybrid provides a fuel efficiency of 26.5 km/l compared to the non-hybrid variant, which delivers only 18.4 km/l.
