The Transport and Mass Transit Minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon, shared news about two additional paths for the Pink People’s Bus Service in Karachi.
Presently, the Pink Bus Service runs along the R1 route, spanning from Model Colony Malir to Tower via Shahrah-e-Faisal. Memon led a meeting to assess plans for introducing new transportation projects in Karachi and Mirpurkhas. During the meeting, it was decided to commence two fresh routes for the Pink Bus Service in Karachi on April 19.
New R10 Route: Karachi’s Pink Bus Service
One of these, R10, exclusively for women, will commence from Numaish Chowrangi, passing through M.A Jinnah Road, Zaibunissa Street, Metropol, Do Talwar, Teen Talwar, Mazar e Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Dolman Mall, and concluding at Sea View clock tower.
Additionally, it was decided to inaugurate the People’s Bus Service in Mirpurkhas on April 20. Memon mentioned that a cashless automated fare collection smart card service would also be introduced on April 25, aiming to ease commuting for passengers.
Previously, on March 18, the minister disclosed new routes for the Pink Bus Service and the commencement of the People’s Bus Service in Mirpurkhas post Eid ul Fitr.
