A red alert has been declared by the National Centre of Meteorology in the UAE due to worsening weather conditions. Residents are urged to be extremely vigilant, as severe weather is expected. Different alert levels indicate varying degrees of risk across the country.
Thunderstorms and heavy rainfall hit various parts of the UAE, leading to disruptive weather conditions. These conditions are forecast to persist until Wednesday due to low surface pressure and unstable weather patterns. The meteorological department highlighted areas susceptible to severe weather. Orange alerts signal residents to be vigilant, while yellow alerts suggest milder conditions.
In response to the situation, the UAE government has instructed employees to work from home on Wednesday for safety reasons. Dubai and Sharjah have extended remote working for government employees, and private sector companies are advised to follow suit. Additionally, both public and private schools will conduct online classes to ensure the safety of students and staff.
