The Punjab Government has announced a public holiday in Lahore on April 23 (Tuesday) for the convenience of the general public due to the arrival of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
According to the details, the Iranian president will arrive in Lahore on April 23 and hold meetings with Punjab government officials before leaving for Karachi.
Therefore, the Punjab Government has declared a local holiday in Lahore, and all public and private offices and education institutions, including schools and colleges, will remain closed across the provincial capital.
However, the notification states that the public holiday does not apply to the offices of the Punjab Civil Secretariat, its attached departments, and regional offices.

It is pertinent to mention that the Sindh Government has also declared a public holiday on April 23 in the Karachi Division to avoid any inconvenience to the public on the arrival of the Iranian President.
