The government of Pakistan has recently announced significant hikes in the fees for fast-track category passports, which has already taken effect from today (May 8th, 2024). As per the notification, the fee for a 36-page Machine Readable (MR) passport, valid for five years, will now stand at Rs. 12,500, while a 36-page MR passport with 10 years of validity will cost Rs. 16,200.
Similarly, the fee for a 72-page passport, also valid for five years, has been raised to Rs. 18,500, while the same passport with 10 years of validity will now cost Rs. 25,200. The fee for a 100-page passport will be Rs. 23,000 with five years of validity, while the same passport will cost Rs. 32,000 with 10 years of validity.
It is pertinent to mention that the government raised the passport fees for ordinary and urgent categories in March, but the fees for the fast-track passport were unchanged.
