The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a bank holiday on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, which has been declared a public holiday on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer.
The central bank has issued a notification on their website regarding the bank holiday, stating, “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on May 28, 2024 (Tuesday) as a public holiday on the occasion of “Youm-e-Takbeer”, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.”

Tuesday, May 28, 2024, will be observed a bank holiday and all commercial banks will remain closed as it is a government declared public holiday.
It is pertinent to mention that the Cabinet Division has issued a notification regarding the holiday for Youm-e-Takbeer, a historic day when Pakistan conducted successful nuclear tests in 1998 under the premiership of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
