The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), in the latest weather update, predicts rain-wind/thunderstorms in Lahore and various parts of Punjab on Sunday evening/night and Monday.
Currently, continental air is prevailing over most parts of Pakistan, with a shallow westerly wave affecting the upper parts of the country. Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in the following areas:
- Murree
- Galyat
- Rawalpindi
- Attock
- Jhelum
- Chakwal
- Talagang
- Sargodha
- Mandi Bahauddin
- Gujrat
- Gujranwala
- Wazirabad
- Lahore
- Narowal
Furthermore, Bhakkar, Layyah, Taunsa, Rajanpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan may experience windstorms/thunderstorms with isolated rain. Elsewhere in the province, hot and dry weather is expected.
In Lahore, maximum temperatures are predicted to range from 40-42°C on Monday and 41-43°C on Tuesday.
Over the past 24 hours, hot and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most of the province. However, isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in Islamabad and the Potohar region.

- Islamabad: City 33, Saidpur 06, Golra 03
- Rawalpindi: Shamsabad 18
- Murree: 04
Hafizabad was the hottest place in the province, with a maximum temperature of 45°C. Bhakkar recorded a high of 44°C.
