Amid the ongoing global boycott of brands linked to Israel, Pakistan has seen a significant rise in the support for local brands such as Cola Next by Mezan Group.
This shift comes as many Pakistanis choose to boycott international brands like Coca-Cola, KFC, and McDonald’s in protest against Israel carrying out a genocide in Gaza with thousands of children dead in the last few months.
The increased demand for local products has led to a surge in prices, especially for popular drinks like Cola Next. Despite the company ensuring ample supply to meet the demand, an artificial shortage has been created by some distributors and retailers.
This has resulted in increased prices, sometimes even surpassing those of international brands, making it challenging for consumers to continue their boycott efforts.
Below is a table listing the latest prices for various Cola Next products:
Cola Next Product Prices
Product | Consumer Price |
---|---|
345 ML | Rs. 50 |
500 ML | Rs. 65 |
1 Liter | Rs. 120 |
1.5 Liter | Rs. 160 |
2.25 Liter | Rs. 210 |
Storm 345 ML | Rs. 55 |
Storm 500 ML | Rs. 70 |
Water: 600 ML | Rs. 40 |
Water: 1.5 Liter | Rs. 70 |
It should be noted that above mentioned prices are for unchilled drinks, and retailers are allowed to charge slightly extra for chilled drinks to make up the cost for refrigeration.
Cola Next offers a range of products, with its main competitor to Coca-Cola being the Cola Next drink, which shares the same name as the company. Other popular beverages from Cola Next include Fizup Next, Rango Next, Anaar Next, Darhi Next, Green Soda Next, Lychee Next, Storm, and Water Next.
