The Sindh government has tightened security by deploying police and Rangers at various key locations across Karachi, including Gora Qubrustan, as part of heightened security measures in response to the planned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest.
PTI had announced a demonstration against the recent constitutional amendment, intending to gather at Empress Market in Saddar.
In anticipation of the protest, Section 144 has been enforced to prevent gatherings and rallies, as a precaution to maintain law and order.

Despite PTI’s call for protest, there has been no significant turnout at Empress Market so far, likely due to the intense heatwave in the city and the heavy presence of law enforcement, which has blocked access to several areas.
Traffic congesstion is expected on Shahrah-e-Faisal and Shahrah-e-Pakistan, Commuters on major routes, such as Shahrah-e-Faisal, are advised to remain cautious, as traffic congestion has also been reported near Sindhi Muslim pedestrian bridge and the Financial Trade Centre (FTC).
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure public safety and prevent any unlawful activities.
Meanwhile, Mufti Qasim Fakhri, Ameer of Karachi, Arrested from Karachi Press Club
It has been reported that Mufti Qasim Fakhri, Ameer of Karachi, has been arrested from the Karachi Press Club. It is important to note that today, a gathering for the recitation of Esal-e-Sawab (prayers for the deceased) is being organized by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) in memory of the martyr of the honor of Prophethood, Maajid Rizvi.
The central leadership of TLP is also expected to participate in the event.

- Strict security measures have been implemented due to the ongoing protest demonstration.
- Roads surrounding the Press Club have been closed in response to the TLP protest.
- The route from the Coast Guard Office to the Press Club is blocked by barriers.
- Additionally, the road from Kala Pul to Shahrah-E-Faisal, as well as the road from Shahrah-E-Faisal to Kala Pul, has been closed.
