This morning, an accident occurred on Motorway M2 near Lahore due to a sudden onset of dense smog. Eyewitnesses reported that when they initially departed from the Lahore toll plaza, visibility was clear, but shortly afterward, thick smog engulfed the road, making it challenging to drive safely.
Thankfully, no fatalities have been reported. However, four individuals sustained injuries and were promptly shifted to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Following this incident, the Motorway M2 section from Lahore to Sheikhupura has been temporarily closed. Motorway Police have advised commuters to restrict travel to daytime hours, as the motorway will remain closed at night due to the anticipated dense smog and fog.
