The Islamabad F9 Assault case had created a uproar on social media when a man named Jamal roughed up a few women and made off away with their valuables, however the man later got bail after making a compromise with the complainant.
The women had settled with Jamal in that incident, and police said Jamal was released on bail. Now that a settlement has been reached between the women and the alleged assailant, the information is being released.
According to the pact, the women stated that Jamal was innocent and that the case was filed based on a misunderstanding, which the women explained. The women also added that they have no problem if the court set Jamal free or acquit him.
We resolved the issue with Jamal and do not wish to take the case any further. The women said in their statement: ”If the court wants to release him or acquit him, we do not have a problem with that. All three women have signed the agreement, which states their plans to proceed without any further litigation against one another.
The incident gained public attention first when a video of the woman getting assaulted outside a restaurant located at nearby F-9 Park went viral. According to the video, the accused dragged the women by the hair and beat them.
An FIR was registered after the victim went to the Margalla Police Station and lodged a complaint when the clip went viral. According to the complaint, the complainants said the main accused, Jamal, and his two accomplices had tortured the women and robbed them of 10 tolas jewelry and 2 million rupees cash.
The torch bearer police Islamabad has acted within no time, arrested the accused, and got a three-day physical remand. The stolen articles were retrieved by the police and charged in court. The investigation against Jamal continued and he was soon send to jail on judicial remand.

The reconciliation has sparked questions about the direction of the case forward and the purpose of these agreements in the judicial process. The court will now determine the future of Jamal based upon evidentiary presentations and due process as the case continues to move through the legal system.
