ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday praised Pakistan Army and security forces for successfully carrying out and safely rescuing the hostages from the Jaffar Express operation.
Prime minister, in a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office lauded professionalism and valor of the security forces observing that the operation had been conducted ”with minimal losses and remarkable expertise” and attributed to the able guidance and inspirational leadership of Chief of Army Staff.

Offering condolences over the loss of lives and sacrifices made by the security personnel and civilians, the prime minister expressed his grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of train passengers and soldiers. He prayed for the departed souls and welfare of their families.
He also praised the courage and bravery exhibited by the security forces that killed 33 terrorists.
Condemning the perpetrators, the prime minister said: “Those attacking innocent unarmed Pakistani civilians have no relations to Islam or Pakistan.”
Stating that the government was steadfast in its approach, he asserted, that the struggle against terrorism will not stop until this evil menace is completely eliminated. The president closed by declaring, “We will fight these terrorists and defeat them in every realm.
