ISLAMABAD: The Year 2025 will witness its first lunar eclipse tomorrow, March 14, the Pakistan Meteorology Department (PMD) said in a statement.
It will be seen from Europe and most of Asia as well as large portions of Australia, Africa, North America, South America, the Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic and Antarctica. The event, however, will not be visible from Pakistan.
The Met Office said that the lunar eclipse will start at 08:57 am and that the full eclipse will occur at 11:58 ma the concluding during an eclipse by 03:00 hrs.
According to it, The ‘Blood Moon’ event will take place this time in three years (Last spotted in 2022)
In Pakistan, the first lunar eclipse of 2023 will not be visible since it will take place throughout the day.
A lunar eclipse is when the Earth is rotating and it gets between the Sun and the Moon.
But unlike the solar eclipse, observing the lunar eclipse with the naked eye does not cause harm to the sight.
