Jinn to hit theaters April 4 Watch Official Trailer

If you’re like me, you’re probably tired of the same worn out story telling and plots you could repeat in your sleep. Jinn might just be the movie to break that string of boring, run-of-the-mill films to stand out as a hit of an adventure this Spring.

Filmed completely on location in Michigan, Jinn is a film that explores the Arabic mythological creature of the same name. The storyline follows a newly married couple as they attempt to find an explanation for the strange occurrences in their lives. On their quest, they find that the unusual things plaguing their lives has a dark, mysterious past.

Directed By  Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad has big dreams for the Michigan-based mythological film.

Some people believe if you talk about the Jinn, they will come to you.” A full trailer has debuted for an indie horror called Jinn, from filmmaker Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad, based on the ancient Arabian folklore that revolves around the spiritual battle between good and evil. The cast includes Ray Park as Gabriel, Serinda Swan as Jasmine, plus Faran Tahir, William Atherton and Dominic Rains as a group of brave souls who are tasked with saving the world when an evil fire demon awakes from its slumber. This looks really, really cheesy but it doesn’t look as bad as I thought it would. If you’re into action-horror, give this a look.

From the beginning, stories of angels and men have captured our imaginations and have been etched into our history crossing all boundaries of culture, religion, and time. These two races have dominated the landscape of modern mythology for countless centuries, almost washing away the evidence that a third ever existed. This third race, born of smokeless fire, was called the jinn. Similar to humans in many ways, the jinn lived invisibly among us and only under dire or unusual circumstances were our paths ever meant to cross.

As humans became the dominant force on Earth, contact between man and jinn steadily decreased.

Modern man has all but forgotten the jinn.
