SHUTS DOWN SCHOOLS, COLLEGES IN INDIAN OCCUPIED KASHMIR FOR TOMORROW

Indian Occupied Kashmir – As protests over the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen’s Commander Sabzar rocked Kashmir valley, the authorities have ordered closure of all colleges and higher secondary schools. Class work in Budgam, Anantnag, Shopian, Kupwara educational institutions to remain suspended on May 31. Jammu Kashmir Government on Tuesday sealed restive Tral town to prevent march called by separatist in memory of HM terrorists Sabzar Ahmed Bhat who along with his associate Faizan Muzaffar was killed in a encounter with security forces on Saturday. Restrictions have been imposed in other parts of Kashmir has paralysed life in Valley for the third consecutive day on Tuesday.

INDIAN OCCUPIED KASHMIR

The Tral chalo call was given by the resistance leadership including Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani, Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik in their joint statement issued in Srinagar.

A police spokesman told Mirror that restrictions under section 144 CrPC were imposed in some vulnerable areas of the Valley to thwart any untoward incident.

He said that the situation across the valley remained peaceful and under control. However, minor incidents of stone pelting were reported from Keller Chowk in Shopian and Court Road, Pinglish in Tral.

“At Pinglish Tral, miscreants heavily pelted stones on police and security forces deployment in which some police and security forces personnel were injured. The deployment used maximum restraint while dealing with the situation and the miscreants were chased away. A stone pelter was injured in the incident,” said the police spokesman.

All trains between Srinagar-Budgam-Sopore and Baramulla remained suspended due to security reasons.

“We have suspended train service due to security reasons after receiving a directive from the government, including police,” said senior Railway official.

The mobile internet service in the Valley also remained suspended.

Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Shabir Shah, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Ayaz Akbar and other separatist leaders remained under house arrest while JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik has been lodged in central Jail, Srinagar.
