Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Pakistan, Imran Khan, has weighed into the debate surrounding the death of an official who was investigating allegations against the Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
Speaking from Davos, Imran Khan told the BBC’s John Sopel that many in Pakistan believe that Kamran Faisal died in suspicious circumstances.
“Infact it’s the not First Time, even before in Benazir Bhutto’s murder case, key witness which was visible in the video, committed a suicide ” he added.
He was found dead last week in his room at a government hostel in Islamabad, three days after the Supreme Court ordered the Prime Minister’s arrest. The family of Mr Faisal claim he was murdered.
On Wednesday the country’s Chief Justice said he was not satisfied with an earlier government-backed inquiry, saying there were doubts it would be free and fair.
