Karachi blast leaves 3 rangers martyred

Karachi‚ 3 officials of Rangers were martyred and 3 other injured when terrorists attacked a mobile van near Rangers Headquarters in Korangi area on Wednesday evening.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso have condemned the bomb blast targeting a Rangers check post at Korangi‚ Karachi‚ resulting into the loss of precious human lives.

In a statement‚ the President expressed sympathy with the victims of the incident and directed the concerned authorities to provide best media facilities to the injured.

The Prime Minister in his statement said that such acts of terror cannot weaken the law-enforcement agencies’ resolve to wipe out terrorism from the society and not to surrender to those who are challenging the writ of the state.
He prayed to Almighty Allah for martyred in the blast and grant of courage to their families to bear the loss with fortitude.

He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured and directed the concerned authorities to provide best medical facilities to them.

Interior Minister Malik Muhammad Habib has also condemned the incident and sought report from the concerned quarters.
