Apple – Shazam Deal Finalized

Apple has finally acquired Shazam for $400 million. Apple will soon remove all the ads song app as promised. To further expand music streaming service’s capabilities Apple will integrate Shazam App into Apple Music.

Shazam is one of the most popular apps It was reported last year regarding the Apple – Shazam deal for $400 million. Shazam has been downloaded more than 1 billion times. When Apple launched its App Store for the first time, Shazam was one of the first apps available.

Shazam acquisition has also faced a roadblock in April. The deal was investigated by the European Commission. They suspected that Apple will use Shazam’s data to transfer to Apple Music.

Apple has now received approval and the announcement was made through a press release.

Apple may not change anything in Shazam and possibly let it remain as a separate app, or the service may be integrated into Apple Music.

To make digital assistant more powerful Shazam could be integrated into Siri. Shazam is one of Appl Music’s biggest acquisition overall. Apple has, however, not revealed what it has in store for Shazam.
