ISLAMABAD: Following the Anti-encroachment drive the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory exercising his powers has taken an initiative to form a “Complaint Redressal Inquiry Commission”
The notification was issued on Monday dated 15 October 2018.

The committee will be responsible to handle all the complaints received from the affectees of the anti-encroachment drive.

The committee will assess and verify the genuineness of the claims and after proper scrutiny and examination of records, cases will be forwarded to appropriate forums for redressal.
This commission will hear them out and if they have been defrauded, the commission will refer the case to appropriate forums for recovery of their money and for taking action against the officials who were involved in the facilitation of encroachments.
The committee tenure is for 6 months only after which it will be dissolved.
Committee Officers are:
- The Addl. Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Islamabad
- The District Attorney, Islamabad
- The Superintendent of Police (City), Islamabad.
