CANADA: Two years of hard work by Prime Minister Justine Trudeau’s Government has paid off finally as Canada legalizes Marijuana Sale in the marketplace.
Ian Power was among the first to buy legal recreational marijuana in Canada and he plans to fame it and hang it on his wall. He has no plan of smoking it though.
Ian Power first in line“Prohibition has ended right now. We just made history,” said the 46-year-old Power, who bought a gram. “I can’t believe we did it. All the years of activism paid off. ”

Canada will also pardon all those convicted for possessing up to 30 grams of marijuana. Those convicted will have to apply for the pardon.
As the sales began on Wednesday in Newfoundland, Canada became the largest country legal national marijuana marketplace.
Canada already had legal medical marijuana since 2001 and now the goal is to better reflect society’s changing opinion and bring the black market into the regulated system.
A festive environment broke out as the clock struck midnight in Canada. Thousands of customers lined up around the stores to buy legal marijuana.
Tom Clark was among the first to make a legal sale in Canada who has been an illegal pot dealer for three decades. His first sale was to his dad.
According to a survey, at least 111 legal pot shops are expected to open across Canada with a population of 37 million.
Marijuana products will be also available online for sale.
Legal Age For Purchase
The minimum age for purchase in Alberta and Quebec is 18 while 19 in others.
Stores will not open in Ontario including Toronto as the province is working on its regulation.
It is also feared that with legalization Canada may face supply shortages and it happened in the U.S as legalization approached there.
