PM Laid Foundation of First Shelter Home in Lahore

Lahore: Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation of first shelter home in the city of Lahore. The foundation stone was laid today, Saturday 10 November 2018.

Last month he had disclosed that his government isworking on a project to provide shelter homes for the poor and homeless peopleof the country.  He had stated that theproject will aim at providing shelter to needy people who are forced to spendnights on roads and footpaths.

Prime Minister Imran Khan today inspected the construction site of the first shelter home in the city of Lahore. Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar accompanied PM Imran Khan. They were briefed about the project.

Addressing a ceremony, the premier, first of all, congratulated and praised Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. He also praised LDA efforts for the development of the provincial metropolis.

PM Imran Khan is determine to make Pakistan a truewelfare state. The establishment of Shelter Home in Lahore is the first step.Five sites have already been allocated for Shelter Homes. In Rawlpindi,Peshawar and Karachi similar shelter homes will be set up.

The Shelter Home aim to provide

• A afe place for the homeless
• Restore their Self-Respect
• Broaden the social responsibility of the state andcitizens.
• Shelter Homes will have multipurpose halls forimparting training and holding of public awareness programmes on vital socialobjectives.
• Provide basic facilities of washing, first aid androof over head
• Two time meals
