Karachi: Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has issued a Public Notice to private firms and schools operating in residential area to close down and shift to designated areas.

The action has been taken in lieu of construction against approved plan & misuse of premises in violation of section 6(2) of SBCO 1979 (as amended) and against land use plan in Karachi.
We all have heard of schools in bungalows. They are every where in Karachi. The residential areas as indeed misused by private schools and others as well.

SBCA has instructed to stop all such illegal activities and restore the constructions to the approved and original building plans. They have been instructed to provide an explanation of why may not be served with SBCA aactionn against them under section 21 of SBCO 1979. Failing to do
The owners of such property has only 24 hours to respond to this notice.
Private School Association of Karachi has been instructed to ensure the shifting of their schools/educational institutes/ tuition centers on proper designated premises/plot during winter vacation.
