Swimmer Safia Askarova Stabbed to Death By Jealous Boyfriend

RUSSIA: Russian swimmer Safia Askarova 16, stabbed to death by a jealous boyfriend. She was stabbed with a knife 30 times.

Yet another story of jealousy, he stabbed her 30 times and claims that he does not remember where he stabbed her. A young and beautiful girl with a promising career and lot of dreams lost her life to one man who could not stand ‘NO’.

The incident occurred on 23^rd December in the Russian city of Togliatti.

Safia Askarova had told her boyfriend she wanted to end the relationship as she wanted to concentrate on her swimming career.

Her boyfriend lost his control after being dumped and stabbed her to death. She was brutally stabbed and killed. Safia suffered at least 30 stab wounds to her neck, chest and abdomen.

Safia Askarova was already a silver medalist and had high-flying sporting career. Her boyfriend Nikita Malygin also an elite swimmer, though not as successful as her confessed to her murder.

Nikita Malygin claims she told him to “go to hell” when he pleaded her to continue the relationship. He also admits to have lost his control.

He also confessed that he took out the knife but can hardly remember where he stabbed her. He also said she tried to run away but he kept on stabbing her, and he only remember the stab after which she fell.

He also said he dropped the knife somewhere near and only realized what he had done when he was on his way home.

Butterfly swimmer Safia was a runner-up in the 2017 all-Russian youth championships, and recently took part in the Reserves of Russia swimming tournament.

Safia had told her parents she was going to a shop but unfortunately met Nikita Malygin, also an Olympic sports student.

Her body was found at 10pm on 23 December. A knife was also found at the crime scene an abandoned building.

Malygin confessed:
