Most of us will have a memory of our school principal as some one who always had an attitude or some one who always carried a frown on his face.

The school principal of Xi Guan Primary school is different though. The viral video of this principal shows the students shuffle dance along their principal. They are all following the steps of their students. What a fun way to to keep the students physically active.

Apart from students and the principal there are other ladies dancing along, most probably they are the school teachers/staff.

The principal is said to have learnt the shuffle dance himself and than taught the students as well.

The principal is just encouraging the student to exercise more rather then just spending their most of their time on computers.

The principal has become an internet sensation and this video is going viral.

Chinese School Principal Shuffle Dance With Students

The principal is said to have introduced thirty minute dance every day and has made it compulsory for all students and staff.

The principal has replaced the compulsory daily callisthenic-based workout by introducing the dance.

Zhang Pengfei, the 40-year-old headmaster of Xi Guan Primary School in northern China has come up with this modern dance for his school and replaced the government’s recommended daily exercise programme.

This dance routine is performed daily for thirty minutes during break time. The principal along with his staff and about seven hundred (700) students perform this shuffle dance daily.

The shuffle-based dance is called “guibu,” which means “ghost steps.”

The principal never thought his video will go viral. He introduced the shuffle dance because

“I wanted to introduce the [shuffle] dance… because the students and [teachers] had no interest at all in the broadcast callisthenics,”

“I thought the dance would be great for kids,”

“The music is full of energy and it really gets the happy feeling flowing.”

The video has gone viral on social media and been viewed by million and every one is appreciating the efforts of the principal.
