Christchurch Mosque Shooting: Attacker Charged With Murder

NEW ZEALAND: Suspected white supremacist was charged with murder on Saturday. Christchurch Mosque shooting has taken the lives of 49 people and dozens injured. The attacker has been charged with murder.

Brenton Harrison Tarrant, 28, will appear before the court again on April 5 where he is likely to face more charges.

He carried out mass shootings at two mosques before he was arrested.

Christchurch Mosque Shooting at Al Noor Mosque

The footage was broadcast live on Facebook. The camera was worn on his head and recorded the barrel of his gun carrying out the massacre of innocent worshipers, like some macabre video game.

The video shows the shooter entering the Al Noor mosque and firing at random worshipers with his semi-automatic weapon.

At one point the shooter is seen leaving the mosque, going back to his car, changes the weapon and re-enters the mosque and starts shooting again.

The video showed worshipers dead or wounded laying on the floor.

Forty-one people died in Al Noor Mosque.

According to police, the shooter took seven minutes to reach the second mosque, where seven people were killed. Images haven’t emerged from the second mosque.

Brenton Harrison Tarrant, was arrested 36 minutes after the police were first called. He was arrested in a car carrying improvised explosive devices,

There were more weapons in the car and the offender had intended to carry out his mass shootings further.

Christchurch terror suspect ‘was a member of New Zealand gun club

Brenton Harrison Tarrant was a member of the New Zealand gun club. It has been revealed the suspect practiced shooting same AR-15 rifles used in his mass murder that left 49 dead.

After hearing that Tarrant was behind the mass murder the club feels betrayed.

Scott Williams, Bruce Rifle Club vice-president, has said Tarrant is a club member and he practiced shooting at the range. The club has over a hundred members and they are all in a shock.

Tarrant had joined the club at the start of 2018, and Mr. William said he never mentioned anything about his hatred for Muslims and he seemed like a normal person. The Club is assisting the police in every possible way.

Brenton Harrison Tarrant used Five Weapons

Brenton Harrison Tarrant, used five weapons including two semi-automatic weapons and two shotguns, which had been modified.

The minimum legal age to own a gun in New Zealand is 16, or 18 for military-style semi-automatic weapons.
AR-15 is a semi-automatic version of the United States military M16 rifle.
