Graff Lesedi La Rona World's Largest Square Emerald Cut Diamond

LONDON: Luxury jeweler Graff has revealed it’s Graff Lesedi La Rona world’s largest square emerald cut diamond weighing 302.37 carats.

Graff the London based company has cut and polished worlds twenty larges diamonds discovered in the past hundred years.

Laurence Graff the founder of Graff Diamonds who seemed humbled by his latest creation said:

We had an immense duty to cut the very, very best diamond imaginable from this rough. It was found at the Lucara Karowe mine, Botswana. The name given to the diamond Lesedi La Rona is derived from Botswana’s Tswana language, and it means “our light”.

Over the hundred years, it was the largest rough diamond to be discovered with the largest gem-quality. It was the second largest ever to be discovered.

Graff had acquired the 373 carats rough diamond in 2016.

Acquiring the diamond Graff was confident about the results and familiarity with properties he could easily forecast how Lesedi La Rona might behave similarly for the master craftsmen.
