Islamabad: Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has issued an advisory for the hostels in ICT.
The advisory was issued for the hostel administrations in Islamabad on receipt of complaints by students and their parents of lack of discipline.
The advisory for hostels in ICT issued on October 24, 2019 states, the lack of discipline in private hostels is causing serious trouble for the students and their parents.
It has been reported by Special Branch and several complaints have also been received that students of different institutions residing in private hostels often remain out of hostels at night and no record or their movement is being maintained by hostels’ administrations.
These students have sometimes been found involved in crimes and sometimes as victim of criminal activities.

In view of the aforementioned reasons and prevailing law and order situation, all the hostels are directed to comply with the followings:
- A complete record of entry and exit of students residing in hostels shall be maintained.
- No student should be allowed to stay out of hostel unregulated at night.
- No student should be allowed to remain outside the hostel premises after 10:00 PM without information to his parents.
- Moreover, the record of entry and exit of job holders residing in hostels should also be maintained along with their timings of official duties.
The above direction should be strictly complied by all the hostels in ICT, failing which necessary action will be taken against the said hostel.
