Malala Yousafzai and Tim Cook discuss partnership and more

Apple CEO together with Malala Yousafzai and the president of San Jose State University Mary Popazian talked about the importance of teaching girls to code and how Apple’s partnership with the Malala Fund can help do that.

Apple announced it’s partnership with the Malala Fund back in 2018 and they’re partnership’s aim was to provide education to girls who would otherwise be unable to get it.

The Malala Fund is a non-profit organization aimed at providing education especially programming to girls in poor countries.

Tim Cook tweeted this evening about this matter syaing how they are working to help 130 million girls get a quality education.

Time Cook also made a statement at SJSU today saying:

We have tried to focus on teaching coding skills to everyone. Everyone should learn to code before they graduate,

Apple and the Malala Fund have been working together for a while now with the aim of educating the young on technology. Malala Yousafzai said today:

Technology is changing at a very fast pace, we need to change our education for that. We have taken it for granted that education isn’t possible in some places like refugee camps, but technology can change that. Apple has helped to expand and help our vision grow.

According to her, Apple has helped spread the message of Malala Fund and helped it in many ways saying:

Tim Cook went on saying:

If you focus on girls in the family, then the benefit to everyone is exponential,

Further saying:

The earlier you introduce collaboration into the classroom and the teacher becomes the coach and tech is used as a tool, not a means to itself, I see great results in boys and girls,
