Today, the detailed verdict was issued for the high treason case againts General (R) Pervez Musharraf and former president of Pakistan. The bench formed by the Supreme Court and in charge of hearing the case included Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth belonging to the Peshawar High Courth (PHC), Justice Shahid Karim of the Lahore High Court (LHC) and Justice Nazar Akbar of the Sindh High Courth (SHC).
The verdict had a majority of two of three judges giving the decision against General (R) Pervez Musharraf. The death penalty was given to Musharraf on Tuesday by the court for imposing a state of emergency in November of 2007 after the court said that it had found General (R) Musharraf guilty of high treason based on Article 6 of the constitution of Pakistan.
The detailed verdict by the court that is issued states that Musharraf “has been afforded more than his due share of fair trial” and “given every opportunity to defend himself”
The court also said in the verdict that “the facts of the case are well documented clearly clearly demonstrate the guilt on the part of the accused”
The verdict with the majority of two of the three judges giving the decision against Musharraf also adds:
We, with the majority of 2 as to 1, allow the complaint and hold the accused guilty of high treason as defined at Article 6 of the Constitution and pass punishment under section 2 High Treason (Punishment) Act, 1973. Thus, the convict be hanged by his neck till he is dead,
The verdict makes clear about the charges against Musharraf and that all charges of high treason have been proved saying:
It proves beyond a shadow of reasonable doubt all the charges of High Treason levelled against the accused by the State,
According to Major General Asif Ghafoor, the Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the verdict was received with a “lot of pain and anguish”.

A lot of people are coming out angry against the verdict saying that the verdict is unfair and most people on twitter are angry over Page 66 of the verdict that says if the fugitive was found dead, his body is to be dragged and hung at D-Chowk for 3 days.
Some are even saying that the verdict seems to be settling some personal score against General (R) Pervez Musharraf.
