There are many televisions in the market that claim to be bezel-less but they are not ‘truly’ bezel-less and all of them do have bezels albeit very thin bezels. However, according to TheElec, this all may be about to change as Samsung is said to be ready to unveil at truly bezel-less or according to Sammobile, a Zero Bezel television at CES 2020. Although the sources on the site are unknown.
The Sammobile post suggests there is a bezel-less TV in the works saying that Samsung also applied for a Zero Bezel trademark in Europe two months ago which suggests that a new premium TV might be on its way and a good change that it will be unveiled at CES 2020.
According to the Sammobile report, this bezel-less TV will have the display welded on to the main body without the need of a frame which will eliminate the bezels that come with it when it holds the display.
The report also says that the process will be limited to screen sizes of 65 inches or above. There are however no official statement from Samsung about this news but according to the report, Samsung is said to be ready to mass produce these televisions in Q1 of 2020. Although, without a frame there is definitely a concern about the structural integrity of the television.
If all of this is true then it will truly be a first to see a bezel-less or zero bezel television and there is no doubt that Samsung is capable of making it happen.
There have also been rumors and leaks about the Samsung mobile division working on the next generation of the Samsung Galaxy Fold and this time around the reports suggests that instead of having a soft plastic display, Samsung is working on a foldable glass screen with a clam-shell design. You can read more about that over here.
Samsung certainly seems to be working hard to stay ahead of the competition in all markets.
