The Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Fawad Chaudhry invites Elon Musk, the tech mogul who is the CEO and founder of Tesla, to set up a Tesla factory in Pakistan.
This invitation was in response to a tweet by Al Arabia where they mentioned that Tesla, the electric automaker planned on manufacturing half a million vehicles in a future factory outside Berlin.
Fawad Chaudhry tweet reads:
Dear Elon Musk, your next destination may be Pakistan, 68 percent of the world’s population lives within 3.5 hours flight radius from Islamabad, we offer 10 years zero tax facility and custom free import for factory setup, no other country may offer, plus we are world’s third-biggest freelance software exporters.
He made sure to mention the pros of setting up a factory in Pakistan mentioning that Pakistan offers a zero tax facility and custom free imports for 10 years, which no other country might offer.
This so called Gigafactory that Tesla is planning will reportedly assemble entire vehicles including batteries production at the factory.
