After the PSL 5 song was released on Tuesday the song started to trend on Twitter with the hashtag #TayyarHain where everyone was showing their disappointment and thought the song had ruined the spirit of PSL.
Asim Azhar has responded to fans expressing his regret over disappointing them with the PSL 5 anthem.
Azhar wrote:
I’m sorry to those fans, whom expectations I couldn’t meet,
He continued writing:
Everyone tried their best, tried to do something different and out of their comfort zone, with only good intentions for the love of the country and cricket,
He also added:
But just a couple of things I’d like to say to my fellow Pakistanis; PSL anthems are not a competition. Sure, you have all the rights to like & dislike but please understand we all so this for the same cause, for the betterment of cricket, PSL & most important our Pakistan,
Azhar also express his concerns over those who made personal remarks saying:
And also guys, please try to refrain and stick to criticism only. Making personal remarks, degrading commments or saying someone should die just for a few likes isn’t cool,
Ali Zafar also came to Twitter to express his opinion over the tweets that were being made about the new PSL 5 Anthem saying:
As much as I am thankful for your love and support always, I would urge you all to remain equally appreciable towards efforts by all other artists. We are all one big family. So is PSL. It belongs to Pakistan and so does our music.
