Jackie Chan responds to suspected coronavirus quarantine rumors

Rumors have been going around of the Rush Hour actor Jackie Chan getting quarantined over suspected coronavirus infection however, the star has now responded to those rumors saying that is not the case.

Jackie Chan made a statement regarding those rumors of him getting quarantined saying:

Recently, my staff told be about the news that’s been circulating around the world, saying that I’ve been placed under quarantine for COVID-19. Firstly, I’d like to take this opportunity to say ‘thank you’ for everybody’s concern! I’m very healthy and safe, and haven’t been quarantined,

Chan added to his statement saying:

I’ve received many messages from friends asking if I’m ok. Your love and concern is so heartwarming. Thank you! I’ve also received some very special gifts from fans all over the world during this very difficult time. Thank you for the face masks.

Jackie Chan originally belongs to Hong Kong where the actor was born and currently there are over a 100 cases of the novel coronavirus over there and some reports say that buildings throughout the city have been put under quarantine and maybe that’s the these rumors came from.

Jackie Chan recently stared in Vanguard, a movie that has been pulled from cinemas in Hong Kong due to coronavirus fears.

The actor in his statement also said that whoever makes the antidote to the coronavirus first will be getting 1 million Yuan from the actor which is equivalent to $200.000.

This is a nice gesture by the actor who announced this saying:

Science and technology is key to overcoming the virus, and I believe many people have the same thought as me and hope that an antidote can be developed as soon as possible. I have a ‘naive’ idea now. No matter which individual or organization develops the antidote, I want to thank them with 1 million yuan,
