KARACHI: Sindh Government Spokesperson Murtaza Wahab shared the news on social media that the first patient of the novel coronavirus in Karachi has recovered.
In a tweet, Murtaza Wahab said “Very happy to inform that the 1st coronavirus patient in #Sindh who was being attended to has recovered and his tests have now come out as NEGATIVE. Alhamdolillah,”

The first coronavirus patient in Pakistan was Yayha Jafri according to the Sindh health department and he has covered completely. The patient was diagonsed with coronavirus ten days ago, however recent tests in last 24 hours shows no symptoms of the infection.
“The patient will be sent home today after his result comes back negative again,” he said.
So far 6 Coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Pakistan with three of them belonging to Sindh while one case is from Islamabad while the other two from federal areas.
Sindh Education Department issued the notification of to close all educational institutions in the province as a precautionary measure and strict action was taken against school that remained open with their registrations being suspended.
Meanwhile the fake news was circulating on social media that Sindh Education department has extended closure till 1st April, 2020.
