KARACHI: Advisor to Chief Minister, Murtaza Wahab shared the news on social media that the Government of Sindh has decided preponed Summer vacations in Sindh as the Schools will reopen on 1st June 2020.
Sindh government says all educational institutions including schools, colleges and universities will remain closed till May 31 – and this period will be counted as summer vacations – the educational institutions will reopen on June 1.
Matriculation examinations for 9th and 10th grade, which were to start on March 16 have also been “suspended” by Sindh Government.
The decision came after the late-night cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah and other health officials from preventing Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Sindh.

Yesterday, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani shared a video message that the schools and colleges will reopen from 16th March, However, after the last meeting, Sindh Government decided to extend the date till 1st June 2020.
The Government of Balochistan has extended the date of school closure till 1st April, 2020.
