The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has closed all schools and educational institutions in the province over coronavirus fears after an emergency meeting of the KP cabinet was held chaired by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.
The decision includes closing all private and public private institutions across the province for period of 15 days although there is possibility of extension based on the status of coronavirus in the country.
A decision was also taken to ban all public gatherings in the province including any festivals or events. Prison visits have also been banned until further notice as a precautionary measure.

According to CM Mahmood Khan all necessary precautions are being taken by the government and the situation is under control.
Sindh govt has also closed all schools and educational institutions in the province till 30 May after a decision was taken in a Sindh cabinet meeting chaired by Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah.

The decision is being taken after rising casing of coronavirus in the country as there are now 21 confirmed cases with the latest case emerging today from Karachi.
In related news, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also taken the decision to have PSL 2020 matches with any crowd in Karachi and Lahore.
PCB has now allowed all foreign players to leave the PSL 2020 event over coronavirus fears.
