KARACHI: The third coronavirus (COVID-19) related death in Pakistan has been reported by a Sindh Health and Population Welfare Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho.
Dr Azra said in a statement that the coronavirus (COVID-19) patient was a 77 year old from the city of Karachi and this takes the total number of casualties in Pakistan to three.
According to the video statement by Dr Azra, the patient who lost the battle with coronavirus was a cancer survivor and had diabetes and hypertension as well and was exposed to virus locally as he did not have any international travel history.
This marks the third COVID-19 related death in Pakistan as earlier this week, two patients from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had also lost their lives to the virus.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has crossed 450 with Sindh being the most affected with over 245 confirmed cases with one death as of Friday.
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has infected over 247,000 people and taken lives of more than 10,000 people globally with the majority of infected cases in China where the virus originated.
However, Italy has passed China when it comes to the death tally as more people have now died in the country compared to China.
China has around 81,000 confirmed cases and over 3,200 deaths but Italy has recorded over 3,400 deaths for just 41,000 cases.
Some other countries are climbing fast when it comes to the total number of infected with Germany and US both having more than over 700 and 500 confirmed cases today respectively.
Italy which was the new epicenter for the coronvirus has seen a halt in cases as the country has been put under a complete lockdown with people not being allowed to leave other than getting basic necessities. Strict action is being taken against people who are disobeying orders.
