As the coronavirus outbreak is worsening in Pakistan with more cases emerging, Pakistan Post has took the initiative to deliver pensions of people to their homes to keep them safe from COVID-19 and ensure social distancing.
The Federal Minister for Communication and Postal Services Murad Saeed announced last week that they will be delivering pensions to 1.3 million retired government employees to their doorstep and the Pakistan Post seems to be keeping that promise having delivered pension to over 200,000 people in two days.
This step is being taken to make sure that the elderly stay protected inside their homes and safe from the risk of the coronavirus pandemic.

Even a specialized agency the Universal Post Union of the United Nations (UN) for postal services recognized the efforts of the Pakistan Post taking up this initiative.
The coronavirus cases in Pakistan have crossed 1,400 and with 11 deaths reported so far. Punjab now has the most number of cOVID-19 cases and the highest number of casualties at four.
