The government is intensifying the lockdown across provinces as the total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan reach 1,763 with more than a 100 new cases being reported on Monday.
The latest death was reported from Sindh and the patient was 63 years old with history of ARDS and returned from Saudi Arabia 10 days ago according to the Health Department of Sindh. This was the third death reported today from the province bringing the total death toll of Sindh to six.
Punjab also reported three deaths today with 2 from Rawalpindi and latest death being reported from Lahore and the patient is said to be 42 year old male who was under treatment at Mayo Hospital Lahore.
A medical worker also lost his life to the coronavirus in Gilgit Baltistan and according to news he was exposed to the virus while dealing with other COVID-19 patients.

Global Update
The total number of coronavirus cases have surged past 771,500 globally with over 37,000 deaths and United States has the highest number of cases of any country in the world.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the United States are now reported at 158,290 however, this number keeps changing every few minutes and over 15,000 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours and the death toll of the country is also rising rapidly with over 400 fatalities in a single day bringing the total at 2,930 deaths.
Italy however still has the highest number of deaths at 11,591 with close to 1,000 deaths being reported everyday and the total number of coronavirus cases in the country have reached 101,739 which is the second highest in the world after United States.
Spain comes in at second with the number of deaths at 7,340 and similar to Italy, over 600 fatalities are being reported every single day with the highest number recorded over 800 over night. The total number of coronavirus cases in Spain however are 85,195 with thousands of cases emerging every single day.
China were the COVID-19 virus first took root now has the situation under control with very few cases being reported and the death toll also under control and the country.
